I have seen a lady driving around in her little scooter, and I have seen her walk, which came as quite a surprise. However, just because a person drives around in a little scooter on campus, it does not give them the right to mow people over in the hallways. I have been one of the many that was mowed over once in the Social Sciences-Administration Building link a year ago. Usually, I would have immediately helped a person pick up the contents of the fallen basket. However, since I had been unapologetically driven into by the scooter, I wasn’t about to help them pick up the pieces.
Frustrating, as it might be to maneuver around campus, maybe try using a horn, or a bicycle bell to signal others when you’re approaching. It would save us all the misfortune of being mowed over, and allow the lady in the scooter to get to class like every one else.
