The Students’ Union website claims that “with your mullet you will get 25 per cent off regular priced items at the Den.” Is this a tuition fight or an advertising stunt for the Den? Growing a mullet will not convince administration to cancel differential tuition. It will cause the few students who participate to look stupid, but hey: they’ll get cheap drinks! Does the SU even care about the students, or are they more concerned with selling drinks?
The SU, led by Matt Stambaugh, has failed the student body. Tuition will rise again, but the SU can be proud that they wasted students’ money on a useless stunt that may have sold a few more beers.
