With the ever-growing stream of artists flowing into the music scene, it has become incredibly hard to produce an album worth listening to the entire way through. The Used self-titled debut CD features great talent and potential from all members of the band and is a good listen the whole way through. Their sound is a hybrid between punk and metal, with a little bit of pop thrown in for flavour. The sing/scream vocals of Bert McCracken, combined with perfect harmonization from the rest of the band, help to produce a well-rounded disc that should earn them a firm foothold in the music industry.
