Re.: “Welcome for WUSC student,” Nov. 6, 2003,
As a member of World University Service of Canada, I was very pleased with the article because it put a human face on the refugee sponsorship program and emphasized the value refugee students bring to campus.
The reverse is also true.
The university, the student levy and, most importantly, the students themselves have changed the lives of these students in ways we cannot even fathom. So I thank you for running this story. Stories like this are important because they recognize and applaud how U of C and refugee students make this campus a better place to be.
