Assault suspect at SAIT

An unknown male who appro- ached a female SAIT student Nov. 20 matches the description of a male involved in two attempted abductions at the University of Calgary.


Calgary Police are unsure if it is the same person but said there are similarities between the two cases.


"He’s been scared off [from the U of C] and SAIT is in the same part of town," said Detective Bruce Young.


SAIT alerted students and staff to the incident and suspect by e-mail.


The SAIT suspect is described as a black male, 35 to 40 years of age, with a stocky build and 190 to 200 lbs. He was wearing a black leather ¾-length jacket, dress pants and a wedding ring on his left hand.
