The Dinos women’s hockey team faced the two teams tied atop the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference, but they weren’t slaughtered.
Losing 1-0 to the Mount Royal College Cougars Fri., Jan. 16 and 6-4 to the Grant MacEwan College Griffins Sat., Jan. 17 shows the lady hockeysaurs have what it takes to battle it out for a spot in the playoffs.
Calgary Roughnecks
The Roughnecks headed all the way to Canada’s largest city just to lose to last year’s National Lacrosse League champions, the Toronto Rock. It wouldn’t have been a bad game except for the fact that former Roughneck Blaine Manning managed to rack-up a total of 13 points. The Roughnecks have yet to win against the Rock.
The Super Bowl
Why do so many people eat, drink and insist on watching a game consisting of two teams they know absolutely nothing about? I can’t answer that question as I also know nothing other than it’s the Patriots vs. the Panthers. Yet I will watch the game, eat nachos and get drunk.
