Faster, meaner and harder.
Tomas Lindberg is out and Johan is back for the long-awaited release of Possessed 13. Boasting songs like "No Tomorrow" and "Face of Destruction," The Crown continues to enforce the definition of tight play. Gruesome riffs, huge energy and screaming guitar solos throb through the whole album as Swedish black meets powerful thrash metal. Included in the a wonderfully designed classic horror film sleeve is a bonus CD boasting demos like "Forever Heaven Gone" and "Forget The Light."
One of few bands to effectively mix the dynamics of speed, heaviness and tone without become repetitive, I would confidently include this in my top five of 2003.
