These conservative politicians see themselves as being similar to the early days of the Reform Party. Being the newest party to Alberta provincial politics, they hope to capture the vote of right-wingers who are unhappy with the PCs or even non-right-wing voters who do not think their party is taking a strong enough stand against the Klein government.
Their platform focuses on fiscal conservatism, seniors’ issues, democratic reform, farming woes and the BSE crisis. They also have firm positions on health care, auto insurance, and federal equalization payments.
