Two stabbings on the night of Tue., Mar. 15 at the Dalhousie C-Train station has landed two suspects in police custody.

The first stabbing occurred around 6:30 p.m. when a confrontation between two males resulted in a non-life threatening stab wound to the chest of one of the individuals.

The second stabbing occurred an hour and a half later when an altercation between three males resulted in a non-life threatening stab wound to the neck. Two suspects were arrested by plainclothes special C-Train constables.

There has been no direct link established between the two stabbings except for the similarities between the suspects.

“It’s upsetting and disturbing,” said Detective Stew Keown of the Calgary Police Service. “There have been no charges laid in the first incident and we are currently investigating similarities.”

Wesley Sinclair, born in 1981, and a youth–his name has been protected because he is under 18–have both been charged in the second incident. Police are continuing their investigation and Sinclair is not believed to be a university student.
