Illuminati. The global conspiracy has captured the imaginations of many people around the world for some time and now the band by the same name will do likewise. Illuminati’s third album, On Borrowed Time, shows a band ready to head somewhere. With a strong edge in both their beats and lyrics this band evokes the chaotic world of the conspiracy which inspired their name. Still Illuminati has a solid grounding to their sound so anyone with a fancy for alternative rock will enjoy. The songs seem to blend together into a seamless musical texture with a strong drum beat backed up by with some solid guitar work, really making this album come alive and drawing the listener into the world Illuminati creates. If all the conspiracy theorists were this talented perhaps the world would become believers, or at least temporary converts.
