The Dinos men’s volleyball team’s head coach Greg Ryan has announced that two promising recruits have committed to the Dinos for the 2006-07 season. David Egan and Mike Ruus will begin to appear with the Dinos in the fall.
Egan, a six-foot-five graduate of James Fowler High School will join the ranks as a middle blocker in September. A product of the Canada West Volleyball Club U18 Dragons, Egan will bring his tremendous vertical jump and on-court poise to the Dinos squad.
Ruus, of the Canuck Stuff Volleyball Club, finished his high school career at Sir Winston Churchill. The six-foot-seven powerhouse is a confident two-time high school Athlete of the Year. He will bolster the Dinos’ attack when the team takes to the Jack Simpson Gymnasium to begin their quest for a playoff spot in the fall.
