Talent: The team’s roster was full with strong players, including, Morena Ianniello, who ended the season with eight points, Katie Blundell, finishing with six points, and goalkeeper Alana Knowles.
Effort: The girls gave it their all, maintaining a chance at playoffs all season, though it was just out of their reach.
Coaching: Robin Slot has consistently been a source of strength for the team in his 14-year tenure. His tried-and-true methods seemed to fail this season, though, as the team now has four losing records under his leadership.
Achievement: Though they didn’t make the playoffs this year, they weren’t far off. With a finishing record of 5-7-2, the team can still safely plan for more success next season.
Grade: Pachycephalosaurus
Fun facts: One of the last non-avian dinosaurs before the comet hit, it had a thick skull protecting the brain. It managed to live alongside some of the less pleasant dinosaurs, such as the Edmontosaurus.
