Men’s hockey

It must be rather embarrassing to be the only team in Canada West not to make the playoffs. The Dinos missed the playoffs this season, the first time they have done so since 1985. The Dinos defence was shaky throughout most of the season, providing a hard time for starting netminder Jeff Weber. The offence was better, but unable to compensate for the poor defensive play. The Dinos looked lost this season as all-star Jared Aulin finished his CIS career the year before. The only bright spot was defenceman Travis Friedley, who was named to the second all-star team. The Dinos will have to look for new talent and try to rebound next season.
