There has been a lot to talk about this year when it comes to men’s volleyball, as defending CIS Champions, the Dinos, have gone undefeated thus far in regular season play. This past weekend the Dinos played a two game home stand versus the 4-8 UBC Thunderbirds, defeating them in both games and extending the undefeated streak to 10 games.
So far this season the Dinos have dominated CW in almost every statistic. The men’s volleyballsaurs are currently leading CW in hitting percentage, assists and kills.
One of the top performers of the year has been fourth-year Graham Vigrass, who is third place in CW with 180 points. Vigrass was most recently named the top performer against UBC, in both games, recording a total of 43 kills. Vigrass was also named Dinos Athlete of the week for his valuable play.
The Dinos are now preparing to face a tough Trinity Western Spartan team on Friday and Saturday. The Spartans are currently in fourth place. The last time these met was at the Trinity Western Tournament Final earlier this month, where TWU won.
