I kid you not folks. After two years of being VP External and making some key contacts, I have a firm commitment from a friend of a friend of a friend who knows someone that this will happen. The Latino pop sensation has joined the student tuition movement and will be protesting along with the large crowd which is expected.
AAAAAAGGHHHH! I’m throwing out every card here. Ten years of tuition hikes is too much, in my opinion. We gotta move! Enough is enough! We must send the message to the public and the government that we need this situation to be addressed NOW! The efforts of various campus groups has been tremendous over the last couple of years. Student apathy has never been hit so hard.
The postcards are being passed around… sign them. The meetings are taking place… attend them. The events are happening… happen with them.
There are some evil people trying to oppress you and make your life a living hell filled with student debt, crowded classrooms, and high tuition… STOP THEM!
Come on folks! Bring your placards, sticks, bones, brothers, sisters, brothers’ bones, sisters’ placards. The Board and provincial government need to see that students care about what goes on here. I know you can’t come to every meeting and every scheduled event, but if there was one meeting I need you at, it would be this one at 9 am (and maybe a couple more later when the snow clears…).
ALL I CAN SAY IS COME OUT THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS MEETING FRIDAY FEB. 4 @ 9 a.m. in the DINING CENTRE.

p.s. Sorry for all the upper case letters. I wasn’t trying to be loud, just trying to make a point.
