Regarding your article covering the pro-life Genocide Awareness Project, it is necessary to clear up some of the mistakes that you have made. Once again, while reading the Gauntlet, I felt like I was perusing the pages of the National Inquirer or the top 10 fiction list at Chapters.
I’d like to start by pointing out that several minds were changed as a direct result of this display. While this so-called “newspaper” claims that our arguments are “basic at best and wholly incorrect at worst” you in no way showed how they were incorrect or basic but rather resorted to insults and base humour. This is typical of pro-abortionists in general, who are brilliant at coming up with irrelevant and ad hominem arguments such as “your campaign stinks like manure” and “one, two, three, four, I declare a choice war.”
In fact, it is not the pro-lifers but the other side who really have no argument to justify the killing of the most innocent of human beings. This is so evident, even to them, that we found nobody at the abortion clinic, Planned Parenthood, or even the university willing to debate this issue in a formal setting.
I was also far from amused to read the article suggesting that the pro-life movement is based on economic motivations. This is simply inappropriate, and while I realize it was written in order to poke fun at our message, it showed a clear lack of understanding about the issue. Since when does society make killing legal because those committing the act may get harmed in the process? We don’t make bank robbery legal even though it is dangerous for the criminal, do we? Despite your best efforts, we will not go away, we will not be silent, and our message will be heard.
