The field hockey girls ended the season with the program’s best-ever finish, capturing silver on Oct. 6 against the league leaders, the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds, who claimed a record 13th McCrae title. Both teams were neck-in-neck with a close 3-1 final score. The Dinos hosted the CIS championships over the weekend at Hawkings Field. The third-seeded Dinos overtook Guelph on Thursday, lost to UBC and beat Toronto on Friday, and defeated Alberta 3-0 on Saturday for a place in the gold medal game.
