Students’ Union officials celebrated the official grand opening of their Tuition Hut on Tue., Mar. 11 with a toilet-paper cutting ceremony. The Tuition Hut boasts desks, a filing cabinet and an innovative telecommunications device known as a phone. Two state of the art Dell computers give it the highest concentration of student-accessable computing power for a facility of its size.

The interdisciplenary environment provided by the Tuition Hut may enhance the U of C’s position in its four key Academic Plan areas: Understanding Human Behaviour, Institutions and Cultures; Energy and Environment; Technologies and Information; Health and Wellness.
